Buyer FAQ for outdoor string lights and LED filament bulbs

iLamp Technology (Shenzhen iLamp Technology Co., Ltd) sells the factory's string lights, filament bulbs, garden lights and lamps to importers, distributors and brand owners. Below are the answers buyers ask for before a first order: who you deal with, how the minimum is set, what a sample buys you, which documents exist today, how prices are published, and how payment, inspection and shipping run.

The short version: ask on WhatsApp with the reference, the quantity and the destination country. The reply names the configuration, the minimum for that build, the indicative price and what each document covers. Nothing is priced or promised outside your quotation.
Who is iLamp Technology?
ilamptechnology.com is the English-language sales desk for Shenzhen iLamp Technology Co., Ltd (深圳市兰谱芯科技有限公司), Bao'an District, Shenzhen, operated by Ryanfulfil, Singapore. Quotations, samples and orders are handled through this desk; the contracting party is confirmed on your quotation. The factory makes outdoor string lights in S14, G40 and ST38 shapes, solar and smart versions of them, LED filament bulbs, landscape and garden lights, and cordless table lights and floor lamps.
Are you the factory, or a sales desk for one?
The goods are made by the factory in Bao'an District, Shenzhen. iLamp Technology is its English-language sales desk, operated by Ryanfulfil in Singapore, and it handles quotations, samples and orders. The party that contracts and invoices your order is named on your quotation before you pay, so ask for that name in writing with your first price.
What does the factory make?
Six families. Mains outdoor string lights in S14, G40 and ST38 bulbs. Solar and low-voltage strings. Smart WiFi and RGBW strings. LED filament bulbs in decorative shapes. Landscape and garden lights, including spike spot lights, pathway lights and pool lights. Cordless table lights and floor lamps. Each family page lists the models with the specification and packing data the factory prints, and the current version of any model is confirmed on your quotation.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It is set per configuration, not as one number for everything, and it rises in four steps: samples, standard configurations in the lengths the factory already builds, private label and printed packaging, then custom lengths, cable, sockets or electronics. Send the reference, the quantity you want and the destination, and the quotation names the minimum for that exact build.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes, and the sequence is sample-first. Ask for a quotation naming the exact factory code and configuration, then order the sample against it. The sample is quoted all-in, and it is credited against your first production order only when the quotation says so. Check it yourself, then confirm in writing; production runs against the sample you accepted, not against a photograph.
Which documents exist for these products?
The factory states its string lights carry an ETL listing and CE and RoHS markings; the listing card, the declaration of conformity and the test reports are requested and will be published here when received. Until then, ask for them with your quotation and treat the marks as the factory's statement. Which document your market asks for is set out family by family under documents and certification.
How are prices published, and what will I actually pay?
Where a price is published it comes with its basis, printed beside the figure: ex-works, before freight and tax, on the factory's Sep 2026 list price plus 20 %. Treat it as an indicative screening number, not an offer. Models without a published figure are quoted per configuration. Your quotation prices the exact build, quantity, plug type and packaging you ask for, and that price is the one that counts.
Can you make these under my own brand?
Yes. The factory states it builds to a buyer's brand: your logo and retail packaging to your artwork, US, EU or GB plug variants, black or white cable, suspension or die-cast sockets, and lengths and socket counts to order. Start with a sample of the exact build, since packaging and print quality are judged on the sample rather than on a specification sheet. The OEM page sets out what to send.
How does an order run from enquiry to shipment?
Enquiry, then a quotation naming the exact factory code and configuration. Sample, then your acceptance checks in writing. Proforma invoice, then production. Inspection before the goods leave, with third-party inspectors welcome. Then shipment on the terms your quotation sets. Every step is written down, so the reference, the configuration and the price you accepted are the ones that ship.
How is payment handled, and how do I avoid invoice fraud?
Payment terms, the currency and the beneficiary account are issued once, on the proforma invoice, and are never changed by email; if an account changes, call the desk on a number you already hold before you pay. If you receive a message changing bank details, treat it as fraud: call the desk on the number you already have and confirm before you send anything. Keep the reference and the factory code on every payment, so the funds match the order they belong to.
Can I inspect the goods before they ship?
Yes. Book it before the goods leave the factory, and name the inspector on the quotation so the date is planned into the run. Bring your own agency if you prefer; third-party inspectors are welcome. Give them a written check list built from the sample you accepted: length, socket count and spacing, plug type, cable, carton marking, and the inner-box size and weight printed on the model.
How long does production take?
It depends on the configuration, the quantity and whether the build is standard or private label, so the date is named on your quotation rather than published as a general figure. Ask for it in writing before you place the order, and have it repeated on the proforma invoice, so the date sits on the document you both sign rather than in an email thread.
How is shipping quoted?
Ask for the delivery terms you want when you enquire, and your quotation answers on that basis. Freight is priced for the shipment rather than published as a rate, because it moves with the volume, the destination port or door, and the season. Give the destination and the mode you have in mind: sea, air or courier. Packing data is printed per model, so you can check the cube yourself before you commit.
How do I contact the sales desk?
WhatsApp is fastest; email works too, at sales@ilamptechnology.com. Send the reference or factory code, the quantity, the destination country and whether you need your own branding. That is enough for a priced reply naming the exact configuration and the minimum for that build. One desk handles the whole order, from quotation to shipment, in English.
