OEM and private label string lights

iLamp Technology (Shenzhen iLamp Technology Co., Ltd) quotes outdoor string lights under your own brand. The factory states it takes private-label orders: plug and cable options, lengths and socket counts to order, and retail packaging printed to your specification. Send the configuration and the quantity. The price, the minimum quantity and the timing come back on your quotation.

What a private-label build is here: your brand and your artwork on an outdoor string light the factory already builds, made to the plug version, cable, length and socket count you name. A product designed from your own drawing is a different kind of enquiry. Ask on WhatsApp before you plan a launch around one.

What can be customised

  • Private label: your brand on the product and on its packaging.
  • Plug version: US 2 Prong, EU 2 Round F and GB 3 G, printed per model on the family pages. The star fairy and curtain strings on solar and low-voltage strings print one model with a US, EU or GB option.
  • Cable: black or white cable, printed per model as SPT-1, SPT-1W or SJTW with its gauge.
  • Sockets: suspension or die-casting sockets, with the socket count that goes with the length.
  • Length: the lengths already on the model rows, or a length and socket count built to order.
  • Retail packaging: the retail box and the inner carton printed to your specification.

How a private-label order runs

  • 1 · You send the configuration, the destination market and the quantity.
  • 2 · A quotation comes back naming the factory code and every option on it, with the price and the minimum quantity for that build.
  • 3 · A sample is made to that quotation. The sample is quoted all-in, and it is credited against your first production order only when the quotation says so.
  • 4 · You run your acceptance checks on the sample and confirm it in writing. Keep the sample you accepted.
  • 5 · A proforma invoice sets the terms, the currency and the beneficiary account. Payment terms, the currency and the beneficiary account are issued once, on the proforma invoice, and are never changed by email; if an account changes, call the desk on a number you already hold before you pay.
  • 6 · Production, then inspection against the sample you kept. Your own inspector or a third-party inspector is welcome. Then shipment.

What to send with your enquiry

Seven lines are enough for a quotation that names a factory code rather than a range.

  • Target market, and the plug version and mains voltage it takes.
  • Length, in feet or metres.
  • Socket count on that length, and suspension or die-casting sockets.
  • Bulb shape on the string: S14, G40 or ST38.
  • Cable colour, black or white, and the gauge if your market sets one.
  • Your brand and the artwork for the retail box and the carton.
  • Quantity per configuration, and the documents you need with the shipment.

Anything you leave open comes back as a question, so an incomplete list costs a round trip.

Minimum quantity is quoted, not advertised. It is set in four steps: a sample, a standard configuration in a length already on the model rows, a private-label run with your own packaging, and a build with a custom length, cable, sockets or electronics. Each step is set for the configuration you ask for, so the figure reaches you on your quotation rather than as one number for every buyer. Timing and after-sales terms are set the same way, on the same quotation.

What a private-label build costs

Prices are quoted per configuration. The mains and solar string-light families each carry an indicative range: ex-works and before freight and tax, on the factory's Sep 2026 list price plus 20 %; the exact price is confirmed on your quotation. A private-label run adds your packaging and your artwork to that configuration, so ask for the quotation to price the product and the packaging on separate lines.

Start from the model rows on outdoor string lights or the full product finder, name the reference you want to base the build on, and the desk can quote against a printed specification instead of a description.

Documents and your brand

Your brand on the box changes whose name a retailer, a customs broker or an inspector reads first, so settle at quotation stage which documents travel with the shipment and whose details are printed on the packaging. The factory states its string lights carry an ETL listing and CE and RoHS markings; the listing card, the declaration of conformity and the test reports are requested and will be published here when received. Until then, ask for them with your quotation and treat the marks as the factory's statement.

What each document would show, family by family and market by market, is set out under documents and certification. The EU and UK rules that apply to a 230 V festoon are explained in the guide to CE marking and energy labels, and the US split between seasonal and all-year use is in the guide to UL 588 Supplement SD.

Questions buyers ask

Can I put my own brand on the string lights?
Yes. The factory states it takes private-label orders, so your brand goes on the product packaging and the retail box is printed to your artwork. Send the artwork with the plug version, the length and the socket count you want. The quotation then names the factory code, every option on it and the packaging specification, so the sample is made against a written configuration rather than a conversation.
What minimum order quantity applies to a private-label run?
It is quoted for your build rather than advertised as one number. The figure changes with the step you are at: a sample, a standard configuration in a length already on the model rows, a private-label run with your own packaging, or a build with a custom length, cable, sockets or electronics. Send the configuration and the quantity you have in mind, and the figure comes back on your quotation.
Which plug versions can be built?
The spec tables print US 2 Prong, EU 2 Round F and GB 3 G plug versions per model, and the star fairy and curtain strings print one model with a US, EU or GB option. Tell the desk the destination market and the mains voltage there. The quotation then names the plug version, the cable type and the socket count that go with it for that market.
Is the sample cost credited against the order?
The sample is quoted all-in, and it is credited against your first production order only when the quotation says so. Ask for that line before you pay for the sample. Keep the sample you accepted: it is what an inspector compares production against, and it settles a question about cable colour, socket type or packaging faster than an email thread.
