Mains outdoor string lights: S14, G40 and ST38

iLamp Technology (Shenzhen iLamp Technology Co., Ltd, 深圳市兰谱芯科技有限公司) makes plug-in outdoor string lights in three bulb shapes: S14, G40 and ST38. Importers, distributors, online sellers and brand owners buy them as a configuration rather than as a product name. You choose the length, the socket count and socket type, the plug and voltage, the cable and the bulb, and the quotation names the exact factory code. Every string below carries its factory code and its inner-box size, and most carry a weight. Solar versions of the same shapes are on the solar string lights page.

How to specify: seven variables decide which code you buy. Send them with your enquiry and the quotation confirms all seven.

Length. The range runs 24FT / 7.3M, 25FT / 7.6M, 48FT / 14.6M, 50FT (15M on ST38, 15.2M on G40) and 100FT / 30M. Other lengths are made to order.
Socket count and spacing. Socket counts run 10, 12, 15, 25, 30 and 50. Spacing follows from the length and the count, so state the spacing your application needs and it is confirmed on your quotation.
Socket type. S14 is built with suspension sockets or die-cast sockets, and ST38 with suspension sockets. The G40 configurations give a count without a socket type, so name the type you want.
Plug and voltage. Plugs are US 2 Prong, EU 2 Round F and GB 3 G. ST38 comes as 120/240V and 120/230V, and the S14 EU and GB configurations are the 230V build.
Cable. ST38 uses SPT-1 and G40 uses SPT-1W. The 120V S14 configurations use 18AWG or 20AWG SJTW; the 230V S14 configurations use a metric SJTW cable in two cross-sections, so confirm the cross-section on your quotation. Black and white cable is offered on the G40 range and on the die-cast S14 range.
Bulb shape and colour temperature. S14, G40 and ST38 give a different look at the same spacing. The colour temperature, the bulb wattage and whether bulbs ship fitted or boxed separately are confirmed on your quotation.
Dimmer. The remote dimmers below are the matching control. Pick a rating above the total load of the strings on that circuit.

Which shape to quote

S14

The widest choice of the three, and the only shape here with US, EU and GB plug builds. Lengths of 24FT, 48FT and 100FT; socket counts of 12, 15 and 30; suspension or die-cast sockets; black and white cable on the die-cast configurations; and a 230V build with an EU or GB plug. G40

The globe shape, and the lowest indicative range of the three. Lengths of 25FT, 50FT and 100FT; socket counts of 10, 25 and 50; SPT-1W cable; a US 2 Prong plug; black or white wire. Refs ILT-STR-019 to ILT-STR-024.

ST38

The teardrop shape, on 50FT and 100FT runs, with 15, 25 or 50 suspension sockets and SPT-1 cable. ILT-STR-003 is the one the factory names as its waterproof build; ask for the ingress-protection rating of the code you quote. Refs ILT-STR-001 to ILT-STR-003.

Indicative prices

G40 globe strings: Indicative US$6.5–14.9 per string. ST38 strings: Indicative US$10.2–15.8 per string. S14 strings: Indicative US$14.5–29.4 per string.

All three are ex-works, before freight and tax, on the factory's Sep 2026 list price plus 20 %; the exact price is confirmed on your quotation. Documents for this family

The factory states its string lights carry an ETL listing and CE and RoHS markings; the listing card, the declaration of conformity and the test reports are requested and will be published here when received. Until then, ask for them with your quotation and treat the marks as the factory's statement.

Models

Each block below is one configuration, with the figures the factory gives for it. Quote the ILT reference and the factory code together on your enquiry: the reference identifies the configuration here, the factory code is the one the factory itself uses. Check every figure against your sample and your quotation before you commit.

Eight of the references, ILT-STR-025 to ILT-STR-032, are remote dimmers. Each has a cable length of 2.6FT / 0.8M or 11FT / 3.35M, an 18 AWG or 16 AWG SJTW cable, IP65 and a remote range of 50FT / 15m. Ratings are 240W, 360W and 650W on the AC120V-135V input and 500W on the AC230V-245V input. Pick the rating above the total load on the circuit, and read dimmable LED filament bulbs before you fix the bulb specification, because the bulb decides how smoothly a string dims.

Ordering this family

Send the factory code or the configuration you want, the quantity, the destination country and any branding, and you get a quotation naming the exact code. A sample is made and accepted against that quotation before production starts. Production, inspection, where a third-party inspector is welcome, and shipment then follow the proforma invoice. Payment terms, the currency and the beneficiary account are issued once, on the proforma invoice, and are never changed by email; if an account changes, call the desk on a number you already hold before you pay.

Packing is given for every string: the inner-box size in millimetres and, on most of them, a weight, so you can work out cartons and volume before you commit. Custom lengths, socket counts, cable colour, plug type, private label and retail packaging to your own specification are factory-stated capabilities, set out on OEM and private label. The sequence, the sample rules and the payment chain are on samples and ordering.

On the sample, check the plug and cable against the market you sell into, including the cable colour you ordered.
Check the sockets and spacing: the socket should grip the bulb, and the spacing should measure what you ordered.
Ask for the ingress-protection rating for your code, then look at the socket seals and the end cap on the sample.
Check the load: the fitted bulb load has to sit under the dimmer rating, and the number of strings you may run end to end is confirmed per code on your quotation and worked through in how many string lights you can connect.
Check the packing: the inner box and the weight should match the figures given for that code.
